The Upfront Commitment

To confirm your trial and allow us to secure a coach's availability, we require the lesson fee to be paid upfront.

Our Guarantee: In the rare situation where we cannot find a coach that is a good fit for your requested schedule, we will reach out proactively and provide a full refund within 5-7 working days.

The Scheduling Process

Our coaches are constantly travelling island-wide to lessons. Please allow our scheduling team 2-3 working days to coordinate with our coaches and place you in the best possible time slot. We typically schedule for the following week, but will always try our best to accommodate you sooner if a slot opens up.

The Pre-Trial Introduction

Before your lesson, we will send you a brief profile of your assigned coach so you know a little about the friendly, expert face you'll be meeting at the pool.

The Path Forward

After the trial, your coach will provide a summary of the session. If you are satisfied with the coach and wish to continue in that same weekly time slot, the next step is to confirm a package of 8 sessions. This upfront payment for the package will secure your spot for the term.

Our Philosophy on Trial Lessons

A trial swimming lesson with Dreamers is a personalized experience. It’s not like joining a large, pre-existing group class. Whether it's a one-on-one session or a small, tailored group of 3-5, a professional coach's time is blocked out exclusively for you. For this reason, we seek your understanding that all our trial classes are paid sessions. This mutual commitment ensures that both you and our coach are fully dedicated to making the first lesson as valuable as possible.

Your Trial Questions, Answered

Why Is the Trial Lesson Paid and Not Free?

Our paid trial is a full, comprehensive lesson and a professional assessment, not a short sales demo. Each session is customized and scheduled just for you.

The fee covers the real travel and time costs for our dedicated coach, much like scheduling any private consultation. We believe a paid trial represents a mutual commitment: our commitment to providing you with real, focused value from the first minute, and your commitment to starting this journey on a serious, respectful footing.

What Happens if the Coach Is a No-Show for the Trial?

While this is an extremely rare occurrence at Dreamers, this question highlights exactly why you are engaging a professional swim school instead of a freelancer. You have a safety net.

In the unlikely event of a no-show due to an emergency, we will contact you immediately. You will be offered two things: a full and immediate refund of your trial fee, and a complimentary rescheduled trial lesson with one of our senior coaches. Our accountability to you is our top priority.

How Do You Match a Coach for Our Trial Lesson?

Our matching process is thoughtful and deliberate. Based on the information you provide us—the swimmer's age, current skill level, and any specific goals or needs—we select the coach from our team whose expertise, location, and teaching style is the best possible fit for a successful first lesson.

What Happens if It Rains on the Day of Our Trial?

Your safety is our priority. If there is heavy rain or a lightning risk, our coach will cancel the lesson. We will then work with you to reschedule your trial for the next available date at no extra charge.

Do Lessons Have to Be at the Same Time Every Week?

Our approach to scheduling depends on the age of the learner, but our goal is always to create the most effective path for progress.

For Children: Yes, we highly recommend a fixed, weekly time slot. Consistency and routine are absolutely crucial for a child's learning process. A repetitive schedule helps them build momentum, retain skills more effectively, and feel more secure in their learning environment.

For Adults: We understand that your professional and personal schedules can be hectic. If you know you will require a more flexible schedule, please let us know upfront. We can try to arrange your lessons during off-peak hours where there is more adaptability.

Regardless of the arrangement, we still require an upfront package payment to ensure a mutual commitment to the learning journey.

What Exactly Are You Looking for in the "Trial Session" for children to Make a Recommendation?

During the trial, our swim coach is observing more than just swimming ability. They are looking at how your child listens, how they respond to instruction, whether they are motivated by personal praise or by watching others, and their general comfort level. This gives us the data to make a professional recommendation on the environment where they will be happiest and most successful.

What Is an Adult Trial Lesson Like?

An adult trial lesson is very different from one for a child. We recognize that you may already have some swimming ability and you definitely have a strong personal learning preference.

Our coach will begin with a series of practical assessment drills to understand your current skill level. From there, the session will feel less like a "trial" and more like your first real, structured lesson. It is instruction-based, and you should feel that you are already improving from this very first session.

The ultimate goal of the trial is not just to see if we're a good fit, but also to empower you. You will leave with a clearer understanding of your own technique and the specific drills you can use to practice effectively on your own.
