Terms & Conditions

OVERVIEW

This website and its services are operated by Dreamers Swim Academy. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Dreamers.

These Terms & Conditions are the official guidelines for our partnership. While they are comprehensive, our general approach is always to be flexible, reasonable, and to work closely with you to maximize your learning and enjoyment. We believe in mutual trust and understanding.

By engaging in our “Service” (including but not to booking trial lessons or lesson packages), you agree to be bound by the following terms. These terms apply to all clients and their guardians.

SECTION 1 - LESSON PACKAGES & VALIDITY

Our swimming lessons are sold in packages, with payment made upfront to Dreamers to secure your time slot. To ensure consistent progress and effective scheduling, all lesson packages have a validity period.

  • A package of 4 sessions is valid for 5 weeks from the date of the first lesson.
  • A package of 8 sessions is valid for 10 weeks from the date of the first lesson.
  • A package of 12 sessions is valid for 15 weeks from the date of the first lesson.

This structure provides a flexible buffer for rescheduling. Any lessons not completed within this validity period will be forfeited, except in exceptional circumstances such as prolonged medical leave supported by a valid medical certificate.

SECTION 2 - TRIAL LESSONS & CANCELLATION

Trial lessons are subject to coach availability and must be paid for in advance to confirm the booking.

To ensure our coaches' schedules are respected, the same cancellation policy applies to trial lessons as to regular sessions. We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a trial lesson.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will result in the forfeiture of the trial lesson fee. This is necessary to fairly compensate our coaches for the time and travel slot they have specifically reserved for you.

SECTION 3 - PUNCTUALITY & DELAYS

We are deeply committed to your progress, and punctuality is key. Our coaches travel island-wide on a tight schedule. Being on time ensures you receive your full session and helps our coaches remain on schedule for other families.

We understand that minor, unforeseen delays can happen. In such cases, please communicate directly with us in the respective group chat as soon as possible. A make-up of a few minutes may be possible at the end of the current or a future session, entirely at the coach's discretion and only if their schedule permits. We strongly emphasize punctuality as a cornerstone of a successful and respectful learning partnership.

SECTION 4 - PACKAGE LESSON CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING

For clients with an active lesson package, we require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for any lesson cancellation to be eligible for a make-up lesson. This is a firm policy that allows us to manage our coaches' schedules effectively and fairly.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will result in the lesson being forfeited.
  • Make-up lessons are subject to the coach's availability and must be completed within the package's validity period.

SECTION 5 - PAUSING PACKAGES FOR HOLIDAYS

We understand that families take holidays. If you need to pause your lesson package for travel, please inform us via your official group chat at least one week (7 days) in advance.

Upon receiving your request, we will pause your package for the specified duration. The validity period of your package (as outlined in Section 1) will be extended accordingly. This ensures you do not lose any lessons due to planned travel.

SECTION 6 - BAD WEATHER POLICY

Your safety is our top priority. The following policies are in place to manage bad weather scenarios fairly for both trial and package lessons.

A. Cancellation Before Lesson:

Our coach will make the final decision to cancel a lesson due to bad weather (e.g., heavy rain or lightning risk). You will be informed via the group chat approximately 45 minutes prior to the session. Any lesson cancelled by our coach for safety reasons before it begins will be rescheduled for a full make-up session at no cost.

B. Lesson Interruption & Goodwill Make-Up:

This policy applies if bad weather (e.g., a sudden lightning alert) begins after the coach has already arrived at your location or during a lesson, forcing the session to be paused or ended early.

  • Policy: In this situation, the full lesson fee will be applied. This is necessary to fairly compensate our coaches for their dedicated time, travel, and the reserved time slot in their schedule.
  • Goodwill Make-Up: As a gesture of goodwill and in the spirit of our partnership, our coach will cover the remaining time from the interrupted session by adding it to subsequent lessons. This will be done in manageable increments (e.g., adding 10-15 minutes to the next few sessions), based on the coach's professional judgment and schedule availability.

We seek your kind understanding that this approach allows us to retain our excellent coaches while ensuring you receive the full value of your lesson package over time.

C. Dryland Option:

For children aged 4 and above, in the event of non-hazardous bad weather (e.g., light rain without lightning risk), our coach may, at their discretion, conduct a structured, 30-45 minute poolside "dryland" workout focusing on swim-specific exercises, flexibility, and coordination as an alternative to cancelling.

SECTION 7 - COACH ASSIGNMENT

We believe in building a strong, long-term bond between student and coach and will always do our best to maintain this consistency. However, we reserve the right to assign a new coach if necessary due to scheduling changes or unforeseen circumstances. We guarantee that any replacement coach will be "Dreamer Blueprint™ Certified" and of an equally high professional standard.

SECTION 8 - PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA CONSENT

We love to celebrate our swimmers' progress. From time to time, we may take photos or short videos during lessons for use on our social media platforms, website, and other marketing materials. (Usually with swimmers wearing goggles and swim caps). Your agreement to these Terms & Conditions constitutes your consent for you or your child to be included in such media. If you are not comfortable with this, please inform us in writing to opt-out.

SECTION 9 - GOVERNING LAW

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore.

SECTION 10 - OFFICIAL COMMUNICATION

To ensure clear communication, a dedicated group chat (typically on WhatsApp) will be set up for you upon confirmation of your lesson package. This chat will include you, your assigned coach, and a representative from the Dreamers' admin team.

This group chat will serve as the primary and official channel for all lesson-related matters, including scheduling, feedback, and important updates. This provides a clear written record, which protects the interests of our clients, our coaches, and Dreamers. We believe this system allows us to resolve any issues quickly and fairly.
